I bought this just so I can tell you guys about Wakfu. Hopefully this doesn't get buried in reviews.I found this show incredibly inspiring and I'm always wanting to share it with people who appreciate the art and effort that goes into making cartoons.Also, one should note, the cartoon has much better animation.Wakfu is a French animate cartoon about the journey of a boy achieving his full potential. Filled with interesting creatures and plot twist. It's trilling and will have you engulfed in a world full of different races with various fascinating abilities. You will be falling in love with relatable characters, rooting for them every step of the way.It currently only has two seasons and there is an open ending to the second for there to be a third. There is disagreement between the network and the creators preventing the third, the last I read. Also, I've already watched the movie online, it is very endearing and you don't have to watch the cartoon to understand the story line. The father in the movie has a bigger role in the cartoon than depicted here, and you will find out more about them in general in the cartoon. However, the movie would go off of focus to add the details, so as the movie is as on its own, it's perfect. This is a prequel in retrospect to the cartoon, by 1000s of years, from what I understood in the cartoon. Beautiful animationa and a fun and enjoyable story, great for fans or WAKFU or those just looking for a short and entertaining movie.. A very good and well done animated story, well worth the money.. best movie ever 10/10 would buy it again.. I dont know much about WAKFU and its lore so this is a review based entirely on this movie/episode and nothing else.I did enjoy this, but it left much to be desired. I purchased this to add another Studio Ghibli title to my collection. This was a combination of Ankama, MADHOUSE, Studio Wyeth and of course, Studio Ghibli.Some people will not like the fact this is a STREAMED movie. you do not get to download this. I was dissapointed I couldnt download, but it isnt a big deal to myself.STORY: 6/10Many unknowns and things I want to know about. Many of these questions are probably answered in the game or tv series.To say the least I liked what was there, but would have liked more. It is all the unknowns that pull the rating down.(why is the girl so special?)The flow and plot was easy to follow and implemented just fine though.This video did manage to get me interested and want to go watch the animated series.AUDIO: 8/10I watched the english version because I dont know french.Everything sounded good. Good effects where needed. Good voice acting. Good sound tracks.The movie was clearly animated for french.I would have watched in french however did not find the subtitles until AFTER I watched in english. My own fault i guess.ANIMATIONS: 7/10Like everything else, these were good. Just nothing amazing.TLDRThis is not a movie/short I will watch again.but am glad I watched it that one time.I liked it.Did not fall in love with it.It was worth my $3. Random side thought:This movie would have been magnitudes better as a "spy fox" "putt putt" or "pajama sam" type of game. I dont know why, but the entire time watching this those kept coming to my mind. Be it good or bad, this movie/short feels like, sounds like, looks like one of those types of games. I love those games. So I was happy with it..
